Wind Up Power – Our Favorite Power Cut Technology

Have you recently experienced a power cut at night and wished you had more “Green” technology available to help you through the off the grid moments?

We experienced a late night power cut last night and with a full moon and zero power in our subdivision there was a very “Gotham City” feel to the night! I remembered that we had several wind up power emergency flash lights and our trusted wind up power radio. I was surprised to find that the flashlights didn’t even need winding up, they have three bright LED bulbs which helped us navigate through our very dark house. After lighting several candles we realized how quiet the house is without any ceiling fans or air conditioning running! I got our wind up power emergency radio out and after a few minutes cranking the handle we were listening to our local radio stations (Very reassuring amidst the spooky darkness!)
