- Switch Off the Air Conditioning in your Car or Truck
- This tip only applies to the milder states in the USA but as you can see, last year almost half the states in the US enjoyed below normal temps for the month of October.
- In October we are all going to switch the AC off whilst driving to and from work saving gas and money!
- Start a Compost Heap!
- Did you know that the leaves falling on your yard in October will make amazing compost for your yard next spring?

- There are always lots of green festivals and events that take place in October, try searching for green events in your area.

- Local farmer’s markets are becoming more and more popular and if you buy locally grown seasonal produce you will be doing the environment a huge favor. Locally grown seasonal fruit and vegetables will have been grown with less chemicals / pesticides and will have used far less gas to reach your table!
